Evaluation

After it’s been determined that there is adequate damage and a “case”, a contract is signed. A State approved contract is signed by the insured and Georgia Public Adjusting, LLC. The contract states you give us permission to represent you and to speak with the Insurance company on your behalf.

Retrieve Data

The next step is to “inspect and assess” the property including taking pictures, measurements, and other information about the damages. This can be done the same day of your free inspection or when you’re ready. We work 6 days a week, so we are flexible for your schedule.

File the Claim

Our group has many years of experience with claim teams and we will notify your Insurance company, send the proper forms and our damage estimate. The insurance company will send out their staff adjuster to write up an estimate on their behalf. We meet with them at your property should you decide or are unable to be there. Vacation homes are usually located far away in some cases from insured, so it’s not an issue if you can’t be there during the inspection, we work for you.

Negotiate the Claim

After the insurance company staff adjuster’s estimate is turned into the Insurance company, they dictate what will be paid on your claim. This kicks off the negotiations, and we represent your interests during the process. It can range from a few days to a few months depending on the company procedures. Our staff is in touch with them on a regular basis to ensure their diligence and prompt resolution. Our clients have access to all notes and status updates in our 24/7 Client Access log.

Fight + Settle the Claim

The process conclude with an agreement for a fair allotment of damages. Within the state prescribed days the payment is due by, the Insurance company will issue a check by mail to you and your PA to cover your damages and costs. Rarely, when the Insurance company refuses to concede, the claim can move into a phase called appraisal or eventually litigation (but more than 95% of these court cases rule in favor of the property owner).
